FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH COMES TRUE
Introducing Actistem Autologous (Fat) Stem Cell Therapy.
WHAT ARE STEM CELLS?
Stem cells are the body’s “master cells”. They can renew themselves indefinitely and Differentiate into any number of cell and tissue types such as muscle, nerve, organ, bone, blood and so on. These properties make stem cells different from the body’s other mature cells, which are permanently committed to their fate – for example, a skin cell can only divide and generate new skin cells.
The ability of stem cells to become other types of cells – their “plasticity” makes them essential for repairing and renewing body tissues and organs throughout our lives. Stem cells are formed at conception and specialize to become the various tissues of the growing embryo. After we are born, our body retains stem cell reserves in various organs and throughout our lives we tap into those reserves to repair and replace injured or diseased tissues.
Unfortunately, our stem cell reserves are finite and as they become depleted, we succumb increasingly to diseases, disorders and the ravages of aging. Thus, autologous stem cell therapy offers the potential to replenish our reserves and fight a wide variety of degenerative conditions and diseases.
WHERE DO STEM CELLS COME FROM?
There are three major types of stem cell: embryonic, fetal and adult. Each comes from a different source and has somewhat different properties.
Autologous Adipose-Derived Stem Cells
Adipose, also known as fat tissue, is the richest and most accessible known source of stem cells. It contains a specialized class of stem cells comprised of multiple cell types that promote healing and repair. Adipose stem cells have been shown to differentiate into multiple cell types, including muscle cells (heart and skeletal), bone, fat, cartilage and nerve. Beyond differentiation, regenerative cells may provide therapeutic benefit through the release of growth factors and other therapeutic healing mechanisms.
The major advantages of adipose tissue as a source of regenerative cells, which distinguishes it from alternative stemcell sources, include:
• Yield: A therapeutic dose of regenerative cells can be isolated in approximately one hour without cell culture.
• Safety: Patients receive their own cells (autologous-use) so there is no risk of immune rejection or transmission.
• Versatility: Stem cells from adipose tissue benefit from multiple mechanisms-of-action.
Peripheral Blood –Derived Stem Cells
Most of the stem cells isolated from the peripheral blood are hematopoietic (meaning they differentiate mostly into blood cells). This is a property, which has not been observed in the adipose-derived stem cells. Thus, peripheral blood derived stem cells are a useful adjunct to adipose-derived stem cell transplantation. They are also far easier to isolate as no surgery is required and approved devices for their isolation are commercially available. Significant anti-aging effects from the autologous transplantation of peripheral blood derived stem cells have been observed.
Actistem works exclusively with adult stem cells and has become a leader in the emerging field of clinical regenerative medicine. Actistem's Autologous Adipose-Derived Stem Cell Therapy Adipose, also known as fat tissue, is the richest and most accessible known source of stem cells. It contains a specialized class of stem cells comprised of multiple cell types that promote healing and repair. Adipose stem cells have been shown to differentiate into multiple cell types including muscle cells (heart, smooth and skeletal), bone, fat, cartilage, and nerve. Beyond differentiation, regenerative cells may provide therapeutic benefit through the release of growth factors and other therapeutic healing mechanisms.
However, more treatments need to be given to an individual because of the smaller number of stem cells isolated compared with adipose tissue. Actistem’s system has been designed to automate the proprietary process and methods for extracting and purifying a high yield of stem cells. The process in which the patient’s cell are extracted, processed and delivered is diagrammed below:

Autologous stem cell transplantation through Actistem procedures provides an infusion of several million new stem cells capable of differentiating into many different cells that make up the human body. These cells can be mobilized to regenerate; repair and/or replace damaged or destroyed cells or tissues. Actistem has developed an autologous procedure, in which the patients’ own stem cells are extracted by liposuction through two small incisions near the waistline, then “reactivated” by the combination of a culture medium comprising unique growth factors and a specific infrared laser light, and returned to their body.
No foreign substance whatsoever is introduced to the body and so medical risk is very low indeed. Up to this time no adverse reaction to the infusion of a patient’s own stem cells has been observed.
TREATMENT / PROCESS
Autologous stem cell transplantation available through Actistem procedures provides an infusion of several million new stem cells capable of differentiating into any one of the 200 different cells that make up the human body. These cells can be mobilized to regenerate, repair and/or replace damaged or destroyed cells or tissues.
Actistem has developed an autologous procedure in which the patients' own stem cells are "reactivated" by a colostrum-derived protein growth factor and returned to their body.
ActiStem's system has been designed to automate the proprietary process and methods for extracting and purifying a high yield of stem cells. Dormant stem cells are harvested from 100cc of a patient’s fat and peripheral blood through liposuction.
The harvested dormant stem cells are incubated in stimulating growth factors, isolated and infused back into the patient intravenously.
The whole procedure takes up to 4 hours in the operating room of the hospital under local anesthesia. It takes about an hour to harvest, 3 hours to incubate and stimulate the stem cells and infuse them back to the patient.
No foreign substance whatsoever is introduced to the body and so medical risk is very low indeed.
PATIENT PROFILE
This regenerative therapy is used for "anti-aging" purposes and, at the same time, can combat degenerative components of diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological disease conditions.
Since the procedure is autologous (stem cells are taken from the patient's own tissue), and it is performed by experienced surgeons within their own approved clinics, the treatment is both natural and non-toxic and therefore complies with UNESCO guidelines and bypasses health regulatory barriers in all countries.
PROTOCOL
Adipose, also known as fat tissue, is the richest and most accessible known source of those stem cells which heal and repair and are able to divide and differentiate into multiple cell types. After the patients' fat tissue has been extracted through liposuction, the stem cells are isolated from the fat using ActiStem's Proprietary Fat Dissolving Agent. The isolated stem cells are then mixed for one hour with "ActiStem 8", a proprietary Protein Growth Factor derived from Bovine Colostrum, which activates the stem cells to divide and differentiate after they have been intravenously infused into the body.
The entire protocol takes about 4 hours.
CLINICAL USES OF STEM CELL THERAPY
Often referred to as Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cell Therapy has produced significant results in the treatment of many diseases previously believed to be incurable. It holds great promise against a wide variety of degenerative illnesses such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, diabetes and the consequences of diabetes (including retinopathy, neuropathy and gangrene), arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, heart disease, blood cancers and other blood diseases, skin disease, vascular disease, spinal cord injuries and even aging itself.
Aside from treating the disease, a beneficial side effect of Autologous Stem Cell Transplant is rejuvenation in terms of looking younger, feeling stronger and in some patients, increased libido. According to highly-respected scientists worldwide, we can counter the effect of aging itself and will one day enable us to live and be healthy to an age of 120 to 130 years.
Effects on Diabetic Vascular Disease
The beneficial effect of reversing diabetes complications such as blindness, heart and kidney disease and possible limb amputation is particularly exciting. No other currently available therapy has been shown to have such beneficial effects as autologous adipose-derived stem cell therapy (see Table 1) below.

No other currently available therapy has been shown to have such beneficial effects as autologous stem cell therapy.
Anti-Aging Effects of Stem Cell Therapy
Evidence indicates that anti-aging "side effects" occur as a result of stem cell treatment and the replacement of aging cells with new cells. These include:
• Improved energy level, vigour and desire for physical activity
• Better memory, powers of attention and concentration
• A more positive attitude and better moods
• Improvement in sleeping patterns
• Restored activity in damaged internal organs and tissues
• Improved immune function
• Enhanced sexual function and potency
• Better appetite and improved digestion
• Improved hearing and eyesight
• Improved skin vitality
• Improved hair thickness
• Weight loss
